Biography

Mimi Bliss prepares clients to speak with confidence and credibility when the stakes are high: a media interview, corporate crisis, public speaking engagement or high-profile presentation.

Since founding Bliss Communications in 1997, Mimi has trained thousands of executives, elected officials, physicians, community leaders and other professionals to handle the public spotlight. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and provides media and presentation training for organizations nationwide. Clients of Bliss Communications include Fortune 50 companies and organizations in a range of industries, including healthcare, economic development, financial services, construction, nonprofit and government.

Mimi has more than two decades of communications experience spanning the fields of journalism and public relations. She was an on-camera reporter for ABC and NBC television affiliates and a freelance field producer for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News. In other previous positions, she served as corporate spokesperson for a major restaurant chain and managed media relations for a hospital.

Mimi is a graduate of Leadership Nashville and has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, Oasis Center, PENCIL Foundation and Tennessee Society of Association Executives.

She earned a degree in public policy from Duke University. Mimi lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
