Mimi Bliss prepares leaders to speak with confidence in any situation — speeches, media interviews, recorded and live videos, and business presentations.

Since founding Bliss Communications in 1997, Mimi has focused on the core leadership skill of public speaking. She works in a range of industries, including healthcare, automotive, government, economic development, technology, financial services, and consumer products. She works with both emerging and senior level leaders across the United States and globally.

Mimi has experience in the fields of journalism and public relations. She was an on-camera reporter for ABC and NBC television affiliates and a freelance field producer for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News. She also served as a corporate spokesperson for a major restaurant company and managed media relations for a hospital system. Mimi has taught a crisis communications class for MBA students at Vanderbilt Business School for more than ten years.

Mimi earned a degree in public policy from Duke University. She is a vice president on the Duke University Alumni Association Board of Directors and chair of the development committee of the University School of Nashville Board of Trustees. Mimi is a graduate of Leadership Nashville and a member of Rotary Club of Nashville.


Holly Conner has extensive experience in both media relations and communications. As an independent consultant for Bliss Communications, Holly provides media training and presentation skills coaching for companies, government and nonprofit organizations.

Holly has worked as both a news reporter/producer as well as a spokesperson for state government. Holly began her media career as a reporter and producer in television news.

She served as news director for the WWTN radio station and hosted a current events talk show for seven years. Holly served as spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Labor and press secretary for a congressional candidate. She worked in community relations and marketing for the Nashville Predators for the hockey team's first three years in Nashville.

As a principal of The Ingram Group, a public affairs firm, Holly conducted media training and developed communications plans for clients in government, technology, and healthcare.

A graduate of Duke University, Holly has served on the boards of directors of several metropolitan commissions and nonprofit organizations. She is past board chair of Humanities Tennessee.
